Several months ago... On a hard day/week a piece of this song--

Was forwarded to me in a chain text.
I loved it immensely; my girl(space)friend didn't know the artist.
Lots of songs pulled up on google search, but I couldn't find it.
Lyrics aren't usually hard to find. Tear.

I decided was some obscure person & gave up. Forgot about it.

But today I happened upon the lyrics with the name of the singer.
Understand, I hate to admit it (looked up the pole dancing thing.) But
Yes, I love this Miley Cyrus song...........It is amazing.

It was written by Jessi Alexander, and her stuff seems clean.
That's what I'm gonna use...

?

----------------------------------------THE CLIMB----------------------------

I can almost see it.

That dream I'm dreamin
But there's a voice inside my head saying you'll never reach it.

Every step I'm taking.
Every move I make feels
Lost with no direction.
My faith is shakin.
But I gotta keep tryin.
Gotta keep my head held high.

There's always gonna be another mountain.
I'm always gonna wanna make it move.

Always gonna be an uphill battle
Sometimes I'm gonna have to lose.
Ain't about how fast I get there.
Ain't about what's waitin on the other side.

It's the climb.

The struggles I'm facing.
The chances I'm taking.
Sometimes might knock me down but
No I'm not breaking.
I may not know it but these are the moments that
I'm gonna remember most, yeah.
I Just gotta keep going.
And I gotta be strong.
Just keep pushing on 'cause,

There's always gonna be another mountain.
I'm always gonna wanna make it move.
Always gonna be an uphill battle
But Sometimes I'm gonna have to lose.
Ain't about how fast I get there.
Ain't about what's waitin on the other side.

It's the climb.

Yeah-yeah

There's always gonna be another mountain.
I'm always gonna wanna make it move.
Always gonna be an uphill battle
Sometimes you're gonna have to lose.
Ain't about how fast I get there.
Ain't about what's waitin on the other side.

It's the climb.

Yeah-yeah-yeah
Keep on moving,
Keep climbing,
Keep the faith,
Baby.

It’s all about,
It’s all about the climb.
Keep your faith,
Keep your faith.
Whoa, O Whoa.

Actually I've never been one who talked against (clean) secular music.

I prefer Christian music, but can ride with my friends with their music playing. Just so it's clean e.g. not talking about cheating on your wife, taking off your clothes, having sex, and all that stuff. (Death metal is disturbing also and swearing....)

I did once ask a friend to turn his music off. Because he asked. "Do you want me to turn this off." (Don't ask me something if you don't want to know my answer, friend.) I totally couldn't hear the words and it didn't bother me at all, but a friend had said said it was bad and bothering her....Bad memories or something. I would probably still do that for her. Actually she is old now so could ask for herself, but anyway.

I'm not going to play things in my car around people who would feel bad for listening to it. But I can't say it's always wrong to listen to mainstream artists...I don't ride with friends who are forever playing songs about sleeping around etc. I do have some things that are too much for me.

But everything out there isn't wicked.

Still I've never gotten into it. I've never bought a non christian CD. I don't listen to any Radio stations besides J103 and Love89.

It's just what I do?

So yeah, choices.

that song could get away with being played on j103 (according to the words anyway) i imagine 99% of the population of the world could agree with that song

Three words: I despise her. =) Her songs are crazily addictive though. They get stuck in my head all the time. I really can't stand her though. No explination. I once was told I sounded just like her when I once was randomly singing a song of her's. It creeped me out.

If it's any consolation to ya, I watched the movie (Yes, the Hannah Montana movie [only in my life..]), and anyway, when she sang that song one of the guys (we both know) said it was actually a pretty good song. And yeah, I can agree with that. It's got one of those uplifting encouraging messages.

If you wanted just the song, I'd suggest just buying it on Amazon mp3 simply because some of her other songs are..okay, I'm struggling to find a good word. Am I making sense? Bleh. never mind =]

I wrote a blog about music, but haven't posted it yet. Not sure if I'm going to.

Love leaving random comments on your blog.

Love you also.

Peace out. =]

Yeah, the song is definitely clean.

There used to be this stupid "Smell the Color 9" song they used to play on J103? Anyway this is much better than that. Stupid stupid stupid; No substance. I hated that song. End of rant.

I don't hate her, but I also don't know her stuff very well.

If John watched it (The Hannah Montana Movie) after telling me that we were not to, he should be fussed at.

But really...I'm told it's clean; I will probably watch it.

I know what song you're talking about. Dad despised that song.

I also don't hate her. Mainly because I don't know her personally.

The movie is clean, and kinda cute in that cheesy, everything-works-out-in-the-end way. Very cheesy.
